Chairman’s Message

Dear NAIOP-AZ Members:

I am honored to serve as NAIOP-AZ Chairman for 2009.  Nationally, NAIOP‘s roots date back to 1967 and today consists of 55 chapters representing over 15,000 members throughout the United States and Canada.  In Arizona our chapter has grown to over 750 members making it one of the largest NAIOP chapters in the nation and the 6th largest trade association in Arizona.  Both nationally and locally, NAIOP is a formidable organization that provides its membership with a strong unified voice on issues that affect our industry.   We are all well aware that our industry is currently being challenged with very difficult economic times and as a result everyone’s budgets are extremely tight.   During these trying times, however, I firmly believe that involvement with industry associations take on even greater importance.  Involvement with NAIOP-AZ provides each and every one of us the opportunity to become better informed on trends and issues affecting our industry.  Whether it is attending our annual Best of NAIOP or simply networking at our Thursday Night Live comedy night, the opportunity to learn with and from our industry peers is invaluable.  I therefore encourage you to GET INVOLVED!  Not only by attending our events but also by joining one of the numerous committees that organize our events tha make NAIOP-AZ one of the premiere trade associations.  Accordingly, please feel free to contact Tim Lawless, Chapter President, Katrina De Baker, Vice President or myself on various ways to GET INVOLVED.  Thank you and I wish everyone the best in 2009.
