The Arizona Chapter of NAIOP plays host to some of the finest networking events in Arizona!
Dear NAIOP-AZ Members,
It is with great pride and honor that I serve as the 2014 NAIOP-AZ Chairman. Thanks to your involvement, and the involvement of other members all around the country, NAIOP has grown to become one of the largest and most well respected real estate organizations in North America with over 16,000 members and 52 chapters. Locally, and under the tutelage of a long list of well-regarded past chairmen, we have seen our Arizona chapter thrive and grow to become one of the largest chapters in the country.
Over the past year, there are many accomplishments of which to be proud. Under the esteemed leadership of Keaton Merrell, last year’s chairman, not only did our membership grow by 9% to make us the 7th largest NAIOP chapter in the country, we also fed more than 10,000 homeless people through our Dream Teams, and raised $17,000 for Ryan House through our annual Crawfish Boil.
In addition to strengthening our membership base and continuing to grow our public policy and philanthropic efforts next year, there are several areas I’ve identified as opportunities to further strengthen our organization. This includes offering more educational content to our members through new events, bolstering our involvement with educating future leaders of our industry through continuing our partnership with ASU’s MRED program, and educating the greater business community on all of NAIOP-AZ’s successes through a focus on our public relations strategy.
In the end, any organization is only as good as its people. I strongly encourage you to make the most of your NAIOP membership by getting involved. In addition to attending our signature events such as Best of NAIOP, Night at the Fights, Thursday Night Live, and the annual golf tournament, please consider joining one of our many committees. I truly believe that the more you put into your membership, the more you will get out of it. Please do not hesitate to contact me or our great staff to inquire about these opportunities.
